Appearance - deep brown, almost black and a creamy beige head.
Nose - smoke and roast with brown bread and pine.
Taste - molasses, tar, roast and pine.
Palate - medium bodied, roast finish.
Overall - good example of the style.

Can at home picked up from BD online. A hazed cloudy golden orange coloured pour with a lasting frothy off white sticky head. Aroma is creamy vanilla, rolled oats, wheat, creamy mango, peach, orange rind. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, creamy wheat, bitter orange, green mango, chalky, light metalic hop bitterness bite. Palate is chalky, creamy rounded grains, moderate carbonation. Some alcohol bite in the finish. Waxy citrus.

Keg at Brewdog Lothian Road. Pours murky yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of juicy fruit and light smoke. Quite a confusing mix for me. Hoppy taste up front, then smoky at the back. Odd.

On tap. Pours a very dark brown with short tan head. Aromas of candi sugar, caramel malts and dark fruit. Flavors follow same with additional fruity esters and a bit of minerals.

Comme bon nombre de Session IPA, Brewdog pousse à fond l'houblonnage à cru pour tenter de compenser le faible taux d'alcool. On en ressort souvent avec des arômes herbacés qui surpassent nettement les autres arômes et donnent de fait moins d'intérêt à la bière. Ici, cela est plus nuancé avec des arômes fruités qui arrivent tout de même à exister. Sur le visuel, notre bière présente un blond voilé avec une fine effervescence peu soutenue et une mousse blanche couvrant à peine la moitié de la surface. Le nez met le fruit en avant avec de la mangue, de l'orange et de la pêche avec une pointe herbacée. En bouche, les arômes herbacés sont donc bien plus présents et dominent nettement sur l'attaque. Les arômes fruités réapparaissent toutefois en deuxième bouche. La corpulence est honnête pour le genre tout comme l'alcool. Le final est sur une amertume herbacée plus épurée et moins intéressante. Pas mal pour le style.
