Bottle from Pizza Port Bottle Shop. Pours very black with a huge foamy beige/tan head that clings. Smells sweet like a milk stout. Medium body with foamy carbonation. It seems a bit unsweet. Flavor is chocolate and burnt malt, though fairly smooth. It is pretty dry and pretty bitter. It is in fact delicious.

Bottle, home. This is an odd one. If I had tried this beer blind, I would have called it a pilsner with more than normal hopping and a mix of hops. The beer is pale yellow with an energetic, rocky white head. The aroma is mostly yeast with a touch of herbaceous hops. The flavor is quite dry. Notes of lemons and grass dominate the palate with some light yeastiness. There’s definitely an odd mix of hops present but not nearly enough, or, perhaps, the trip from Spain isn’t doing them justice. It has a slightly sour malt lager flavor. Feel is fizzy and a bit odd. The whole package is mediocre, particularly given the import price. It’s fun to try beer from a Spanish craft brewer, but I’d recommend skipping this one.

Bottle. dark toffee colored beer with a light brown head. Sweet malt and toffee aroma with light fruitiness. caramel/toffee flavor with eatrh and light coffee. Medium bodied. Light coffee lingers with toffee and caramel.

Bottle. Slightly hazy golden yellow beer with a big cream colored head. Hoppy aroma with light spice. Citrus and floral flavor with light spice. Medium bodied. Some bitterness. refreshing. Citrus and floral notes linger.

Pours hazy sandy gold with white head. The aroma is mild with light notes of spice, floral and acidic smelling citrus hops along with a sugary sweetness off in the background. The taste begins with a flash of sharp lemon like acidity. It then becomes more and more citrus tangelo – like as malt and caramel malt sweetness begin to murmur to the surface. It stays somewhat acidic from front to back with a sense of tartness on occasion.

Bottle from Star Grocery in Berkeley, CA. Pours a rather hazy gold with a finely bubbled white head. Floral/fruit hop aroma. Near medium body with coarsely frothy carbonation. Flavor is floral/fruity. It’s bitter, but not strongly so. Some pilsners are as bitter. But it is a good tasting beer, and it’s good to see craft beer in Spain.

Bottle at Churchkey. Very black with a large tan head. Aroma of cocoa and pepper. Flavor is is bitter chocolate, but very, very bitter. Very thin body. Smoky finish. Two bartenders had high opinions of this one, but three of us customers thought it was a drainpour. You decide.

Bottle 330ml.Hazy medium amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, spicy, licorice - anis.
