Minimal säuerlicher Antrunk, der entfernt am einen Weizenbock erinnert. Kirschen, dunkles Malz, etwas Karamell. Würzig, nie sind die 10% erkennbar. Zum Ende wenig süß, aromatisch malzig, gut. 11/11/11/12//12

A bottle directly from the brewery. dark-brown in the glass, the head is nearly ivory-white. Nose is fruity, caramel, molasses. The beer starts sweet-aromatic. molasses, dark cherries, caramel. The sourness starts after a few seconds, but fits ideal into the rest of the beer. Very drinkable for 10%. Nearly no alcohol tastable. In the end, hops come through and make this beer a nice bitter-sour ending with still the caramel and the dark cherries finding their spot. --> Great beer!

Medium offwhite head. Hazy brown body with carbonation. Perfumy coriander aroma with fruity licorice notes. Dry-acidic fruity mineraly taste with metallic notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish fruity candy aftertaste with perfumy mineraly notes. Nice. Delicate and harmonic. (0.33l bottle shared by KnutAl.)

Good, fluffy, dirty-cream head, fed by fine, lively carbonation in fully hazy orange-amber beer. Coriander, herbs (green, if dried) orangepeel, orangeblossomsyrup. Sweet, again orangey in character, even if the coriander is unmistakable, making it a tad soupy. Mineral, but NOT salty. Very slick, spritzy; maybe medium bodied but certainly not empty. The coriander is more than a tad too dominating - certainly more than the applewood version, IMHO. Still drinkable, thanks to the darker malts. Danke, Sebastian!

Towering, very fine & dense orangeish cream-coloured head, very slowly receding over fully hazy orange-amberish beer. Bit spicy, bit (dark)malty, faint wood notes at first - aromas seriously hampered by the enormous head. At last, one gets intense orangepeel-like aroma’s, somewhat soapy. Sourish-spicy flavour. Spices meaning mainly coriander, and not quite enough buffered by melanoidins. Fruity too, again citrus, maybe strawberry. Retronasal more apple-like, like pastry with apple compote filling. Wheat present too, perfumey and pretty complex. Very carbonated feel, rather light body, (fruitjuice)slick. Completely different from Goses tried so far. Interesting, but not in the league of the Ritterguts. Dankeschön, Sebastian!

33 cl bottle @ lusikka, BBE 01/2014
Aroma has hay, some urinal cake and hints of citrus. Flavour is rather tart with urinal cake, citrus and green apples. Foamy palate. Less stuffy, more tart and refreshing but quite close to the Hickory Wood edition. And easier to drink.

33 cl bottle @ lusikka, BBE 01/2014 Aroma is stale and floury with apples, urine and yeasty notes. Flavour is tart with urinal cake, citrus, some green apples and earthy notes. Nice, could be a sour ale as well. Feels rather salty at the end of the glass – and I had only one third of the bottle.

Bottle thanks to Joes. Opaque dark orange color, small off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, a slight sourness, some herbs or spices. Low to medium body and carbonation. A bit weird imo.
