pours golden, white head. Aroma some light fruity hops, overall weak. Taste, hoppy, fruity - apple, with light metallic notes, light malts. Smooth and crisp finish, watery mouthfeel with notes of sweetness.. Simplistic.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a nice white head. Aroma of wheat, corn, metal and malt. Light-bodied; Watery flavour with some nuts also noticeable. Aftertaste shows blandness with some malt and a tiny bit of hops too. Definitely worth trying out, especially since it was free...but definitely a let-down. I sampled this 35 cL can for free at the Varig airlines club in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 18 August 2006.

Bottle. Bright, clear yellow body with a short, diminishing white head. Grainy aroma with notes of canned corn, cereal and a hint of grass and glue/cleaner. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The finish is sweet. Light to medium body with fizzy carbonation and a watery texture. A sweet and weak lager with a shot of canned corn juice added for good measure. Forgettable.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of malt as well as notes of dust and licorice. The flavor is very sweet with notes of malt, licorice, some dusty hops and some spices, leading to a dry but sweet finish.

Similar to the German variety, it has a medium body, a slightly sweet start and a faintly bitter finish. Not very complex, just OK.

(35.5cl bottle) Dark brown coloured hue with a ruby shine and a brown mid-sized foamy head. Sweet and a bit shy roasted-malty nose with toffee, a touch of powdered sugar and distinctive notes of dark and elder berries, accompanied by traces of plastic. Moderately sweet and minimal sugary flavour, light bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly roasted dark malt character with light berry-fruity notes. Mildly roasted, slightly bitter and salty finish with subtle notes of elder berries in the aftertaste. Drinkable and interesting interpretation of a Schwarzbier (03.XI.08).

100ml at EBF. Black red-tinged body topped by a skinny strip of foam. Roasted aroma of sweet malts. Candy sweetness dominates with dark malts behind. Light bitter tail, but still too sweet. Soft in the mouth (12.09.2008).

Bottled, alc. 4.6% (BB 12/2008)
Almost opaque black color, small tan head. Metallic, lightly roasted malty nose. A bit sweet malty, lightly toasted, metallic and grassy hoppy. Boring.

Bottle. A clear, dark brown leaves a nice tan head. Some cooked vegetables, roasted malt and a touch of dried fruits in the aroma. The flavor relies on roasted malt, but there’a also a slightly coffeeish touch and some notes of cooked vegetables. Medium body and quite fizzy in the mouth. I had higher expectations for this, but that was maybe wrong of me. It’s a boring beer, the kind there’s thirteen on a dozen of. (080731)
