Description
We started a Brewery as a means to contribute to a truly artisan craft. We believe in friendship before finance and are happy to help others in this industry as we have been helped by those who came before us. We are bold believers in the fact that a well made beer can cool your spirit and warm your soul.

Our flagship Mason Ale Works production brewery opened in 2017 at our San Marcos Urge Common House Location. Here JJ “Sweet Meat” Jimenez, our Director of Brewing Operations, helms the wheel. All of our can releases like our popular Jambi West Coast IPA and Respeto Mexican Lager are brewed and canned in these four walls. We also crank out an extensive line-up of one-off releases out of here.

Can, thanks Eddan. Black with a small tan head. On the sweet side with cocoa, rum, chocolate and some coffee. The body was almost full.

Can, thanks Eddan. Dark brown with a small tan head. Fairly smooth with chocolate, vanilla, bourbon and coffee. The finish was quite long.

Can, thanks Eddan. Almost black with a small tan head. Sweetish with vanilla, bourbon, hazelnuts and dark malt.

Can, thanks Eddan. Black with a medium tan head. Aroma of dark malt, coffee and chocolate. Similar taste. Sweetish and with a fairly long finish.

Can. Orange, caramel malt, pine, and grapefruit peel aroma. Dark amber with moderate tan head. Moderately sweet orange, caramel malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Okay body. Shocked that this beer came from SoCal - didn't think Pete Rose was all that popular on the West Coast.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours translucent gold with a transient white head. Juicy stone fruit and tropical aroma. Not very carbonated at all. Flavor is tropical fruit in a sort of juicy way. It's almost got a hint of fresh ripe watermelon. Very strange stuff. Juicily undry. Obviously hoppy. Yet not very bitter. For me that watermelon touch is very noticeable in the finish. I don't get it. It does need more carbonation.

Draft. Slightly hazy beer with a cream head. Light citrus and light tropical fruit aroma. Orange and light tropical fruit flavor with pine. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Orange and light tropical fruit lingers with light earth and pine.

12 oz. can, pours black with a small white head. Aroma brings out light bourbon barrels, with subdued vanilla and a hint of coffee. Flavour reveals subdued bourbon barrels, with light vanilla and subdued earthy coffee. Fairly boozy as well. I prefer the Hazelnut & Chocolate version.

Dark brown. No head. The aroma has quite a bit of bourbon, light vanilla, and light coffee. Sweet, and starting to get rich...so not bad sugars, light nuttiness, the bourbon character isn't bad though it is a bit on the muscular side. The vanilla throws down a light sweetness in the finish.
