Muddy Amber brown color. Big sweet nose with notes of stewed apples, vanilla, cinammon, with slight tartness. The mouth has low carbonation, slightly cloying, moderately sweet. Nice balance between sweetness and tartness. Lingeringn stewed apples and cinammon finish. Nice stuff.

Bottle from Taniguchi. Love nose berries (blueberry, strawberry) and juicy, sweet apples. Quite jammy, just a bit of tartness. Deep reddish-orange-brown color with a touch of lace. Interesting color for a cider. Juicy, jammy, and sweet apple and berry flavor. There are blueberries on the label…sure there are none in here? Lovely nose and flavor, but it is just too sweet.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. No head. Sweet pear aromas. Sweet pear juice and mild carbonation. Tastes like drinking just turned pear juice from a can. Way too sweet for me, but well made.

JK Scrumpy Saskatoon Cuvée on tap at Marciero. 750 yen. It pours a glowing copper verging on reddish. Very full fruity rich Apple & light berry aroma. Wonderful. Medium bodied with a silky mouthfeel. The flavor is a really tasty juicy apple, a bit bready with a dash of berry. Not the most complex cider around but eminently satisfying.

Tap at Marciero. Cloudy orange-gold with lace. Warm apple nose, almost baked. Lightly acidic. Rather sweet and fruity but with a good acidic balance. Great.

Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a glass. Pours hazy golden with small white head. Aroma is sweet pear/apples, medium body, low carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is sweat, rich pears, rich apples. This is great, by far the best perry I have had.

Sample courtesy of BiiruBierBeer, thanks Charles. It has a clear copper body. The aroma is nice with apple sweetness, nectar sweetness, apple slices and a touch of earthy apple notes. The taste is smooth and sweet and has a nectar richness to the apple that’s going on with this experience. Well off in the background is a thin murmur of earthy sort of fruity apple. Solid.

Sample courtesy of BiiruBierBeer, thanks Charles. It has a slightly hazy gold body. The aroma offers up straight up apple and a dash of earthiness. The taste is smooth sweet rich apple that again has an ever so slight sort of earthiness going on at the perceptible edges of the experience.

Tasty stuff. It’s a deep hazy amber with a smallish white head. Pretty good staying power to those bubbles. Sweet floral apple aroma. Some lemon. A mild spice note - seems holiday-ish, nutmeg, cinnamon, etc., but it’s quite faint and nowhere near overwhelming the fruit. The taste is fairly sweet but stays away from cloying territory. Interesting sour, acerbic twang towards the end, which I don’t entirely love, but it gives some extra character. Light, sweet, floral apples. Creamy carbonation. Light on the palate. Finishes a bit drier, though sugar persists. I’m really enjoying this stuff. It’s light but flavorful and packs a fun and interesting character.

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours gold with a slight head. Mixed apple/pear aroma. Med body or so. It is rather sweet, but both apple and pear seem discernible. Not sure what else to say other than that it’s pretty drinkable. Almost like there’s a touch of brown sugar.
