Bottle at a blind tasting at Haket during Gothenburg Beer Festival 2011. Sampled on Friday September 2, 2011One of the four beers in the "Porter" part of the beer judge part of the festival competition.Scent is salty, sweet, mellow. Clear dark brown color, brown head. Taste is sweet, malty, caramel, also butterscotch. Alcohol aftertaste, also warming from alcohol. Medium to smooth mouthfeel.Personally scored it 40/50 using the shbf old summing protocol and second place, with all 5 judges together it ended up in third place.

bottle from Carrefour Arkadia Warszawa. Clear golden colour, large white head, quickly collapsing. Fruity nose. Rather light-bodied, malty background with lots of fruit, apple and pear mainly, slightly citrusy, not sour at all - so I think the fruit flavours do not originate in infection. Smooth and velvety palate. Very nice for the style.

bottle from Wine of Dreams, Warszawa Poland. Cloudy, pale straw-yellow colour, large, bubly head. Looks great. Aroma of wheat, yeast and shy hints of banana, hints of citrus fruit - reminds me a bit of a witbier. Te flavours start very wheaty, shy hints of banana with a lovely citrusy punch and some nice yeasty accents. A very spicy beer. Carbonation is very smooth and the palate velvety - not as over-carbonated as many beers of that style. Another well crafted and delicious beer from a brewery I truly like. Superb stuff!

bottle from Wine of Dreams Warszawa. Deep brown colour, large beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel. Light-bodied, quite sweet and full of caramel and toffee fudge flavours. Shy hoppy touch in the finish. A bit sweet, but nevertheless quite nice.
