On tap at West Seattle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of chocolate, cinnamon and coffee. Flavour is along the same lines, with cinnamon, chocolate and dark fruits. Works pretty well together. A fruity, chocolate, spicy melange that is quite cohesive. Light palate but drinks well. Solid.

On tap at West Seattle, pours s cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, fruity esters and candied sugar. Flavour is along the same lines, with candied sugar, Belgian yeast and fruity esters. Way too much residual sugar, is the norm for North American attempts at tripels. Not good at all.

On tap at West Seattle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of roast and oats. Flavour brings out notes of oat and roast upfront, but there's also some slight metallic or tart quality to it that throws it off. Not very good - needs work.

On tap at West Seattle, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out citrus hops, some tropical fruits and biscuity malt. Flavour is restrained but clean and refreshing, with tropical fruits, citrus hops and bone dry biscuity malt. Seems like it'll be fruitier from the nose, but the flavour is dryer. Solid pale.

On tap at West Seattle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast and fruity esters. Flavour is along the same lines, with Belgian yeast, lots of fruity esters and a little perfume. Works okay, but it's an obviously inauthentic creation. Meh.

On tap at West Seattle, pours a filthy near-opaque orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, caramel malts and some medicinal notes. Flavour is rather abrasive and lacking cohesion, with caramel malts, resinous hops and woody notes. It doesn't work well together and all the notes are clashing. Pretty weak stuff.

I think this overused barrel is starting to take on an infection. Orange beer. Mouthfeel is unercarbed. Slightly old fruity hops mixed with a light lactic touch, particularly on the nose. Dusty old malt in flavor with a bit of an orange hop finish.

Flight at brewery. Black with tan head. Roast light ash and hops on nose. Flavor is light with some ash, roast bitter cocoa with moderate acidity. A light impy with lots of roast flavor. So, decent altogether.

Flight at brewery. Very clear yellow, no lacing. Not particularly pretty. Hoppy, mostly grassy. In the context of the beer the bitterness is strong and rather long lasting. Mostly a light and bitter beer, not much to say about the malt.
