RB Odense Early Summer Fun. Slightly hazy golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Very promising but with a bit of age showing (no bottling date on the bottle)

Bottle @ Odense Tasting June 2013. Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Grapefruit, caramel, biscuit and peach. Smooth and dry. Crisp and quite tasty although the hops have been fresher.

Bottled. Clear amber color, medium frothy off-white head. Aroma of biscuity malts together with piney hops, some grapefruit. Big bitterness, piney again. Quite typical american DIPA, pretty straightforward. Quite dry in taste, big bold bitterness and a typical malt base. Lacks a bit complexity though.

22oz bomber picked up at Perry’s in Livermore over a year ago. It pours with a dark mahogany body that supports a dark tan head of foam. The aroma is full up bourbon booze and vanilla as well as just a touch of spicy oak in the background. The taste has sweet malt soaked raisins and prunes and a bit of caramel. It quickly pulls up smooth sweet bourbon thinly ringed by vanilla and ends a little on the dry side. It seems boozy and bourbon-y but the more I drink the more I’m picking up the depth and rich beer notes.
