Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe in Davis, CA. Huge grapefruit rind aroma with some floral aspects. Pours amber with a near-beige head. Full bodied. Lots of grapefruit and floral, then the grapefruit gets even stronger. Finishes really bitter. Brilliant.

Bomber from KrausenJockey. Nose is pine, fresh peaches, with hints of floral, pineapple, and grapefruit. The sweet peaches really stick out. Very lightly hazy copper with a medium, lightly lacing beige head. Flavor is pine, bitterness, with lightly sweet fruitiness and a moderately bitter finish. Excellent stuff.

Bomber from Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa, CA. Pours clear amber with a creamy beige head. Sturdy pine aroma over mild caramel. Floral too. Med body. Flavor is rough resin over some mildly roasted caramel. There seems to be a little floral tagging along. Hoppy it is, and it should stand up to any NW DIPA.

On tap at the Toronado. Pours with a lightly hazed golden hued body with a lasting white head. Aromas of pine, citrus, lightly herbal, resin hop notes. A bit sticky. Light esters. Flavors are fruity, citrus, grapefruit rind. Quite bitter. Some pine and lots of resin. Medium bubbles, a bit warming. Medium dry. Pretty tasty.

Bomber from Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa, CA. Pours hazy orange gold with a slight off-white head. Aroma of very lightly sour fruit. Med body. Flavor is underlying breadiness with some unexpectedly tart fruit juice. It seems to start cherry and finish pomegranate - though I’m not sure I would have known it was pomegranate without the label. There is certainly a Belgian yeast/spice aspect. The aftertaste is almost a wheaty non-fruit Belgian. Drinks better fast than sipping.

On tap. Pours with a clear orange hued body with a small white head. Aromas are fruity, lightly nutty (almond), slightly tart, cherry skins and some light esters. Flavors are toasty, a bit nutty (in a victory malt sort of way which is a bit odd), lightly tart, fruity with cherry and something slightly tarter. Medium bubbles. Dry.

Bomber from Bottle Barn. Pours copper with a creamy near beige head. The aroma is indeed floral/citrus. Nice! Med+ body with near creamy carb. Flavor is lots of floral, and some citrus, over a decent roast caramel backbone. It’s really, really great. Brilliant. My mouth is seized by strong bitter. To paraphrase the Duke of Clarence, extinguish me in a barrel of this.

On tap at City Beer Store. It has a musty fruit aroma. There’s some berry peel bitterness, kinda tannic. There’s a nice grain background. It’s well made but doesn’t quite suit my taste. The fruitiness is balanced, and there’s some Belgian flavor, thought it seems a bit muddled. Feel is pretty light for the abv. I’m just not big on the Belgian-fruit interaction.
