Zu starke Karbonisierung. Harmonisch röstig-herber Beginn mit deutlichen Kaffeenoten. Konstant aromatisch, die Kaffeenoten sind etwas trocken, was aber nicht stört. Mittelstarke Bitterkeit, harmonisch. Langer, weich bitterer Kaffeenachhall. 9/9/11/11/9/11

Pigs Ear Day 1. Bottle. Hazy amber beer, big pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and is nicely crisp. Very light malts. Decent tangerine hops, little fruit salad underneath. Light floralness. Light lemony finish. Good one.

The 2015 edition pours a black color, topped with amedium beige head that slowly disappears completely. Mild aroma, with notes of chocolate, vanilla and some roasty feel. A combination of spices is nice, cinnamon perhaps most notable, though it later fades away. Mildly sweet with some soury notes present. A hint of alcohol, but nicely hides it’s 8%. A true winter warmer.

Bottle at Pig’s Ear 2015. It pours cloudy bright orange with a thick white head. The nose is soft, sweet, juicy, orange, tangerine, mango, candied peel, minerals, light spice and apricot. The taste is crisp, bitter, some acidity, orange peel, pithy, zesty, nectarine, grapefruit, earth and a touch of spice with a dry, zesty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Really like the fresh and juicy aroma. Taste doesn’t quite match up to it, but it is still good overall.
