Clear deep amber colour, good frothy beige head, diminishing slowly to a thin layer, average layer. Aroma sweet malts, caramel, brown sugar, some liquorice. Taste light heavy to heavy sweet and slightly bitter, sweet malty, toffee, kopiko candy, sugary. Sweet sugary aftertaste, sticky, light coffee. Medium body, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation, way to sweet.

Keg at Chez Marie Bar, Eguisheim, Sunday 19th June 2016 Pours very dark brown in colour with a little glint of red, malty nose. Woah.... shine a light l, this is so, so sweet, too malty no hops. There is a possible dusty hoppiness in the background but otherwise pretty poor effort. A6 A4 T4 P2 Ov9 2.5

500ml can. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, brown sugar, hint if alcohol. Taste is very sweet, treacle, again some alcohol notes. Very low carbonation. Too sweet to be enjoyable. Abv seems high for the style, too.

Can. Golden color with small white head. Aroma is honey, grainy, sweet. Taste is honey, grains, overly sweet again. Medium, fine-bubbled carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Drinkable, but not very good and quite pointless, to be honest.
