Bottled. An unclear red-orangey beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of chocolate and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, caramel, over ripe fruits, and alcohol, leading to a dry finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Elisabeth. Pours a cloudy, muddy orangey brown with a beige head. Sweet roast and distinct chocolate in the nose. Medium body, again sweet roast, vanilla and what rather appears like milk chocolate. Dryish finish, not overly hoppy though. 230311

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma has notes of fruit, malt, coriander, and malt. The flavor is quite sweet with notes Coriander and other spices combined with notes of fruit and malt, leading to a dry spicy finish.

Cloudy brown beer. Thick foamy white head. Subtle rose on the nose! Soft palate but with a carbonated sting in the tail. Sweet malt nicely blended with cherry and rose flavours. Semi dey sweet finish.

Yeah, all that. I’m not an Uberach fan and honestly think that they should halve the number of beers offered and double the quality; but when it comes to Christmas beers I am always willing to give it a try. So, this is a 500ml bottle. Pours with weak head and an average foggy yellow-orange body. Aroma of orange peels and hops. Taste is very smooth and almost flavourless, bringing out the orange hints and hops in the aftertaste. Smooth for sure, but needs to be much more well structured.

Muddy brown body, plenty of off-white head, which disappears at a modest rate, and makes an odd crackling sound that I’ve never heard before. Aroma of watery barley with some spice. Taste is barley and coffee, all overpowered by wateriness and harsh carbonation. Not working on any level.

Bright foggy yellow, huge and quite solid head. Aroma of tin and alcohol, some grassy notes, but it’s like they were trying to get that earthy bière de garde aroma and failed. Taste is tin and lemon with a dry bready finish. Kind of awkward tasting and a bit watery.

Nice pour, decent head, foggy yellow-beige body. Aroma of grain, cereal. Taste is spice, coriander, grass. Probably honey in there too, as the label says. I was expecting something worse, but it’s all right - but that’s not to say it’s particularily good. I will give it to those Lorraine boys though - they’re willing to put anything in a beer.

Appearance is very nice for a porter, big head though it’s fading too fast and a dark brown body. Aroma is spices, barley, and alcohol. Taste is murky barley, some spices on the finish. A bit of a barley aftertaste. An average porter.
