Bottle, 4.2%. Almost clear copper colour. Small white head. The flavour is slightly vinous and bready. The bitterness is quite astringent. Not much aroma hop or anything else that might make it more interesting.

Bottle @ chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2008. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy aroma with some grassy hints. Sweetish grainy malty flavor. Has a sweetish malty grainy finish.

Bottle, 4.5%. 1 month past BB date. Clear very dark brown colour, red shine. The flavour is OK roasted, has a little yeast. But quite nice. Faintly creamy in the finish.

Dark beer with medium beige head. Aroma is delicious, tarliquirice, smoke and ammonium cloride. Flavour is balanced, not so much tar than in the aroma, slightly smoked and bitter. Quite easy to drink with nice low carbonation. Aroma is great but flavour is slightly too smoked and there are not so much delicious tar than aroma. Anyway, very nice smoked beer that don’t have to be shame beside of german’s role model.

Bottled (BB 09/2009). Dark clear ruby-brown color, firm beige head, some lace. Nose has Easter chocolate egg -chocolate, cocoa powder and saccarine. Light to medium bodied. In flavor chocolate is less dominating than in the aroma. Some dark chocolate (as Seppo said, a bit like Kalev-chocolate from Estonia), toasted malts, a bit sweet. Also nicely has hops in the aftertaste. Fizzy carbonation. Finish is a bit watery. Less cloying than I was afraid of.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep orange to amber with a small and off-white head. Cheesy and roasted malt aroma, somewhat strange. Nice roasted caramel malt flavoured, yet with that same herbal off note - somewhat cheesy too - this does go away after a while. Ends dry and lingering roasted malt flavoured.

50 cL bottle. Pours black with a small orange rim and with a small tan head. Roasted and mild spiced aroma. Light bodied. Smooth roasted malt, subdued chocolate note and light breadish note. A bit faint in flavour impression, but flawless. Nice and easy.

Draught (Pikkulintu, helsinki) - Copper brown in colour. Malty and grainy aroma with a hint of fruit. The taste is malty and fruity with hints of dried fruit. Drinkable, but needs some work done to it.
