Can 33 cl. Pours amber with a slight haze and a velvety, lacing off-white head. Nose is mainly biscuit and toffee with a very faint hint of spruce. Medium body, very sweet toffee - almost candy like - with quite a distinct edge of spruce. No real bitterness. The beer is well made, it all comes down to whether you like spruce or not. 301025

Enormous thanks to Gogo from Beerdello for sharing this with me! And, if I remember correctly, to Vladimir for bringing it to him from Finland. Anywho. Hazy, murky even dark orange-brown body, off-white head. The aroma is huge and unappealing in beer terms - it's mostly canned olives, with maybe a light touch of caramel. The taste has heaps of spruce, sure, caramelly, bit tart, absolutely no bitterness, just tasting wrong. Korpiklaani probably deserved better. Maybe the can (within BB date) wasn't in the best of shapes, but man it falls apart atrociously when it does.

SOPP 2025. Smell of malt, grain. Golden colour, white head. Aroma of malt, grass, grain. Juniper not to be found. Medium bitter. Robust body, lively carbon. Hides ABV well.

SOPP 2025. Smell of malt, paper, faint tar. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, tar, grass. Faint rubbery note in finish. Medium bitter. Lively soft carbon. Lacks the stiff black IPA bitterness.

Estava curioso por experimentar este raro estilo de cerveja, acho que nunca paguei tanto por uma. Adquirida num dos poucos alkos no centeo de Helsínquia que a vendem, Arkadia se não me falha a memória. Consumida a caminho de Tallin,no ferry,num copo de papel que tinha à mão. Castanha,cor dum ice tea carregado. Espuma e carbono inexistentes. Cheiro intenso a banana super madura.Notas de zimbro. Diria que é um gosto adquirido. Acabar esta garrafa de 50 cl foi um frete,algo como beber um licor estranho servido pelo anfitrião e por respeito ter de o acabar.

Draught@SOPP Oulu 2023. Slightly hazy golden colour with a small white foamy head. Aroma is wheat, some bananas, mild spices, citrus and some mild earthy tones. Flavour is wheat, citrus, bananas, some toffee and mild spiciness. Refreshing.

Draught@SOPP Helsinki 2021. Deep ambery brown colour with a tiny off-white head. Aroma is berries, some alcohol and mild toffeeish tones with some wooden tones. Flavour is tart berryish tones with some alcohol and dried fruity tones with some yeast and mild wooden tones.
