US Pint can from a Trader Joe's, drank on 26th June 2024. Golden pour, clean and clear, white crust on top. Piney front with a bit of citrus hop bite within the bitterness, cool.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is bright, with a nice piney and melon-y hop character in true WC fashion. Flavour follows as expected, with lots of bitter piney hops, some melon, a touch of citrus peel and tropical fruits. Biting and bright. Very good.

16 oz can from Total Wine - Las Vegas. Pours a semi-clear gold color with a large bright white head and great retention. Good lacing. Pale malt and light white bread aroma. The taste is similar to the aroma: Mostly pale malt flavor with only a hint of bread and a lightly sweet finish. Subtle flavors. Clean, smooth, and refreshing. Medium body. Medium-light carbonation. Low bitterness. Good beer.

Can from Trader Joe's in Davis, CA. Pours gold with a large foamy white head. Aroma of roasty malt and resin. Med body. Flavor is the aroma, but add a bit of citrus. Some pale stone fruit and a hint of meyer lemon. Dry and bitter. Works.

Can from Trader Joe's in Davis, CA. Pours clear brassy gold with a large creamy white head. Tropical aroma - citrus for sure. Med body. Foamy carbonation. Juicy, but fairly dry. At least moderately bitter. Flavor is lightly roastly pale malt supporting, citrus, green melon, passion fruit and more. Bitter but not old school bitter. Good ale / good flavor.

Super clear golden coloured body with a ton of effervescence and a thick, billowy and microfoamed off-white and creamy three to four centimetre tall head that fades pretty quickly and leaves a very spotty lace on the sides. Aroma of light citrus fruit, grass, hay, flowers, perfume and a slight metallic astringency with more hops than malt, and seemingly an older school West Coast IPA scent. Light to Medium-bodied; Very crisp, grassy, herbal and floral hops show at first with a lot of bitterness from the alpha acids, with some citrus fruits noticeable, ending with a biscuity and bready bite from the yeast and malts. Aftertaste is fresh, dry, grassy, herbal and balanced pretty nicely, almost showing an APA-like cleanness, but some richer citrus fruits and bitterness bring out some IPA notes, but the yeast and biscuits almost make this seem like a Lager! Overall, a nice and very crisp, herbal and perfumey beer that's sort of all over the map, but is nice and reminiscent of California itself. I was hoping for better with these two breweries, but it was still worth the space in my suitcase from California to Oklahoma and finally back to Washington to be able to sample it on the other coast that it was brewed on. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Fairfield, California on 23-August-2022 for US$2,25 (great deal!), canned on 22-July-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 07-October-2022.
