Very clear golden coloured body with a fairly large five to six centimetre tall just-off-white head that fades pretty slowly and leaves a spotty lace on the sides, all above a mildly effervescent set of bubbles in the clear body. Aroma of lemon zest, light oranges, pepper, a dash of hay and grass with some slightly grainy malt notes, but pretty balanced, in the nose, at least. Light to Medium-bodied; Fairly strong grassy and hay notes show iwth a crisp malt bite showing a little bitterness, but the grassy and citrus zest elements from the hops hit soon afterwards and provide a good balance from the alpha acids of the hops. Aftertaste shows a nicely balanced, very dry, grassy and hop-forward IPA with no sweetness at all, a little hit of citrus fruits but just like the West Coast IPAs of old, in great ways. Overall, a very nice, easy-drinking IPA that focuses on the hops, as it should, and IS bitter, as old-school West Coast IPAs should be - great to have, super fresh and from the West Coast, but enjoyed back on the East Coast - definitely worth the space in my suitcase - be happy if you can find this easily and regularly - especially at this price! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Fairfield, California on 28-August-2022 for US$2,34, canned on 13-May-2022 with the tagline 'Cheers!' on the bottom, and sampled at my house here in Washington on 13-September-2022.

4oz. Appearance: clear pale golden with a white head. Aroma: a grapefruity, citrusy, a bit of onion from the beginning (probably hopped with Citra). Taste: along the same lines, with noticeable onion notes (definitely Citra), good body, and some light sweetness. Overall: ok.
