Dark brown, quite smokey on the nose. Body is thin, not enough residual sugar to carry the smoke, so it comes across as simple. Good flavours but problematic structure.

Dark brown, thin head. Boozy, some nutty, coffee accents, ok this really needs a barrel - the rum ba is prominent but it needs something a bit more.

US Pint can from a Trader Joe's. Drank in the afternoon sun by the pool at my daughters in Laguna Hills on 27th March 2026. Almost clear light golden pour, white crown. Intense citrus aroma and taste, grapefruit esters and flavours to the fore, they keep on coming in this highly hopped brew.

Pint can. Grapefruit citrus aroma with notes of caramel, orange, tangerine, mango and pine resiny hops. Pours clear golden-copper colored with a finger of tan head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with juicy orange, tangerine and caramel flavors. Finishes dry with mango, grapefruit and pine resiny hop flavors. Good stuff.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: bright orange to copper color with a one and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to a fine lace.
Aroma: citrusy hops up front, light floral hops slightly underneath then a nice clean malt bill
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine bittersweet blend then has a nice piney bittersweet finish
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable, good smoothness on the tongue, light hop abrasiveness further in the back
Overall: nicely done West coast styled DIPA I would return to.
