Pizza Port Summer Moments IPA 7% Nice golden color with thick fluffy foam. It has a rich citrus and stone fruit aroma. It’s fairly full bodied with rounded carbonation and a pretty soft mouthfeel. The taste has bitter earthy pine, citrus rind and apricot elements to it. Solid enough but pretty forgettable, not as nice as many other pizza port beers I’ve had.

From tap @ Carlsbad. Pours hazy orange, white head. Aroma is grapefruity, citrusy. Crisp hoppy. Juicy, grapefruity to peachy. Crisp fruity, juicy far finish.

473mL can. Pours murky orange with white head. Aroma has resin, pine, and a strong caramel malt backbone. Flavour is similar; strong resin and pine hop profile with a good malty backbone. Nice, aggressive hops. Excellent.

Canned July 3, 2024. 16 oz. can, pours a hazy bright golden orange with a small white head. Nose is loaded with citrusy hops, orange, sticky resins, and a big caramel malt backbone. Flavour is very powerful, with big resinous hops, bitter pine, lots of citrus, grapefruit pith, and a thick caramel malt backbone in good balance. Expertly crafted, with powerful hops that are still well-balanced by the malts. Excellent.

On tap at TapRoom Beer Co, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has some dank, sweaty hops, and bready malt. Flavour is somewhat oily, with dank hops, some resins, light pine, and a bready malt base. Dank, oily, and somewhat sweaty finish. Hops seem a bit tired. It's alright.

On tap at Pizza Port - Carlsbad, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma has rich on the bourbon barrels upfront, with a solid roast base and a touch of dark sugars. Flavour is big and bold, with intense bourbon barrels, big roasted malt, and some cocoa. Very roasty and barrel-dominated. Excellent, even if not very elegant.

On tap at Pizza Port - Carlsbad, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals cinnamon upfront, with subtle chilis, good sticky malts on the base, and a hint of coconut. Flavour is very rich, with a deep roasted malt base, paving the way for black liquorice, a hint of cinnamon and light chilis. Very sturdy, roasted malt base that carries this. Excellent.

On tap at Pizza Port - Carlsbad, pours a clear dark amber brown with a small white head. Aroma smells legit, with plenty of toasted nuts, some red fruit, and toasted bready caramel. Flavour is nicely malted, with lots of toasted bready malt, a hint of caramel and a hint of red fruits. Bone dry, with a deep malt base for the style. Very good.

Flavour is quite oily, with oniony hops, resins and dry bready caramel to back. Not digging the hop expression as much as other Pizza Port IPAs but the balance is good as usual. Decent.
