300ml draught as Hoppy Red X at the brewpub. Filmy layer to a hazy dark brownish body. Spotty lacing. Brown malty nose, hints of spruce. Mixed malt fruity taste of caramel and pine needles. Rounded mid-sweet bitter end. Rounded mouth feel. Like it. (Copenhagen 22.11.2018).

Tap, sample at Brewpub Copenhagen. Pours opaque dark brown almost black with medium brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, Vegemite, coffee,dark chocolate and hints of liquorice. Taste is light to medium sweet, medium to very bitter, light acidic and faint salty. Body is oily with soft carbonation. Finish is long and rich with malt, caramel, coffee, espresso, dark chocolate, soy sauce and hints of vanilla.
