vintage bottle, bottled may 2015 no best before date. tasted march 2024 reall really nice betty wild ale aroma with subtle fruitiness from the passion fruit.I did not expect that. some of the yeasty and bretty notes from the really big belgian strong ales have found themselves in here. super funky. also fainter notes of white wine barrel, leather, yeast. complex and, for a 5.0% beer, crazy intense aroma. flavor is tart and sour and yeasty and woody , mild and not crazy wild ale , with a good fruity flavor adding the the base sour beer. great composition with good balance between leather and wood and the brett and the sourness and the fruits. This one ages well. No way I would be able to tell it was 9yrs old. also behaved perfectly when opened.

vintage bottle april 2015 no best before date tasted march 2024 sweet with lots of depth fruity aroma, red berrries, leather, aroma is a bit like old fashioned US fruit ales before they got more sour and wild. flavor is tart, bretty, fruity sour, leather, fruit stone, wood. a lot more fruit stone than expected and not that sour not that tart. perhaps the aging has toned down the fruity parts, left the more woody leathery parts behind. Tastes pretty good though, a good wild/sour sipper.

12 oz. can from Molly's Spirits in Lakeside, CO. Pours a hazy yellow color with a bright white head and great retention. Good lacing. Citrus and light hops aroma. The taste follows the nose, except the hops flavor is stronger and the citrus is lighter. A good summer beer. A little hoppier than I prefer, but good after a bike ride. Medium body. Medium-low carbonation. Soft bitterness.

can. Pours a slightly cloudy orange=amber color with a cream colored head that had good lacing. The aroma is mild with caramel, grains perhaps some mango. The taste is big on the caramel, with bitter resins, breads and mixed fruits. Bitterness is moderate. The palate is full and crisp. Finishes long with lingering caramel. Overall: Decent quaff. One of the better amber ales fer sure
