Undated can from 8 Degrees Plato, warm shelf, drunk 6/8/24. Mango-orange smoothie. Small, yellow head immediately fizzles out. Mango-vanilla-orange smoothie nose. Not punchy on the sourness. Round citrus tones, sweet malts, biscuity wheat. Easygoing. Good mix of sweet and tart. Fruity with light vanilla, citrus acidity, bursts of honey and caramel and a lingering light bitterness/acidity.

Brown Iron draught, 6/8/24. Heavy haze. Lemon-brass. Small, creamy, white head, slowly to spotty cover. Nice mix of juicy and West coast hops. Lemon, gentle pine, hint of pineapple. Very estery yeast. Cracker malts and no resin with orange and mango lingering. Soft, creamy almost with big malt up front but an equal addition of bitter, piney hops. Lemon, orange, mango rind. Lingering lemon, pine, biscuity malts. Ample body and higher than usual attenuation for WW. Maybe just a touch of borderline soapiness on the very end.

Undated can drunk 3/25/24. Moderately hazy, bright tangerine-maize-golden. Large, frothy, well-retained, white head. Fresh yeast, clean and snappy with a good, estery fruitiness and augmented by light pine, spice and mild tropical fruit. Some citrus rind, biscuity malt and no alcohol, resin or flaw noted. Juicy and malty, quite a bit so, as WW is. On the sweeter side with lush melon, juicy tropical fruit and mild citrus bitterness. Excellent flavors, of course, with interesting hops, but just a bit more sweetness than I'd prefer.

Masterfully done, tequila barrel finish for earthy citrus notes? A little sus. But hell it turned out amazing and on point. Loved the sweet tangy, dates and citrus notes. Kinda like the pineapple stouts that tasted like cake, magical! Thx FlandersNed !

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clearish straw gold with a quickly dissipating half finger of head. Muscat, gooseberry and muted pineapple aromas. Very fine, almost non-existant carbonation but as it warms some bubbles up. Notes of pear, pineapple and muscat on the palate. Light dank on the finish. Very nice.

500mL 2023 bottle drunk 2/18/24. Bright, clear, deep amber with little/no head. Nose is rich, long, intense English Barleywine notes of raisin, toffee, vanilla. Throw a bit of more acidic red fruit in there and add a dash of barrel character to help tone down the malt intensity. Sweet, mega-malty, soft, luxurious. Toffee-vanilla-raisin with a bit of creme brulΓ©e on the finish. Just a bit too sweet for me, though only just barely. Wish there was just a bit more balancing barrel character, but it's nice to see a more OG Barleywine done and done well.

Bottle thanks to Steve. Pours black with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong dark fruit, mezcal, wood, licorice. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, boozy, very nice.
