Optisch macht es mit einem klaren satten Goldgelb und einer weißen, feinporigen, flaumigen und akkurat haltbaren Schaumkrone schon was her. Leichte CO2-Perlen steigen hoch. Die Nase wird mit angenehm süßlichem Duft von brotigem Malz und guter Würze verwöhnt. Der Antrunk kommt angenehm spritzig und würzig und wechselt auch gleich in ein sattes getreidiges Malzaroma, welches den Übergang zum Mittelteil markiert. Dort setzt sich das Getreide fort und findet sich mit kräftig würzigen Aromen und einem Hauch aromatischer bis leicht herber Hopfennoten wieder. Eines Exports würdig, zeigen die Aromen ihre volle Präsenz. Etwas negativ muss man jedoch die leicht alkoholischen und metallischen Eigenschaften erwähnen. Dadurch wirkt es nicht ganz harmonisch. Aufgrund der Vollmundigkeit ist aber ein durchaus guter Trinkfluss gegeben. Im Abgang verfliegen die Malzaromen rasch und eine phenolische Note macht sich bemerkbar. Aber ehe man es sich versieht, darf auch schon eine zarte aromatische Hopfenherbe in den Vordergrund.

Gold with a quickly fading head. Aroma of mixed grains and butter. Modest floral notes. Doesn’t exactly invite. Taste is fairly well balanced, a decent mix of grainy bitterness, apple tartness and dough-like sweetness. Finishes moderate bitter. Drinkable.

@home poured into a footed pilsner glass. Clear deep golden colour, good frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma sweet and roasted malt, caramel, candy sugar, alcohol notes. Taste light light heavy to medium sweet and light bitter, malty, some honey, biscuit, bit sticky mouthfeel. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, caramel, burnt sugar, rather sweet bock but good balance makes it drinkable and nice.

Clear deep golden colour, good frothy white head, good retention, light lacing. Aroma pilsner malt, slightly toasted, caramel, grassy hops. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, slightly toasted, light caramel, some alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, sugary notes, too sweet, disappointing yet acceptable brew.

Can. Golden beer with a cream head. Mineral and light spice aroma. Mineral and grass flavor with light malt. Medium bodied. Mineral and grass linger with light malt.

Super clear golden coloured body with a thinnish, single to perhaps two centimetre tall, pure white head that fades fairly quickly, but leaves a lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma of grass, rice, chamomile, jasmine and very soft but noticeable perfumey characteristics along with some light grainy bitterness and pungency, seemingly all from the malts, but strong in the nose. Light-bodied; Grassy, very dry and herbal flavours show up first with a lot of graininess and some light citrus elements, all with some bread and yeast noticeable, but a relatively clean, slightly soapy and perfumey note from perhaps some lighter alpha acid German hops that does come through near the end. Aftertaste is mild, fairly easy-drinking and balanced accordingly with most of the flavours showing malts, but some hoppiness is actually noticeable. Overall, a dry, crisp, herbal and very grassy product with some other notes, but no real complexities, layers or pungency, which could be construed as a good thing. I sampled this 50 cL can, from Day #3 of the Costco 2020 Advent Calendar, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia sampled at my house here in Washington on 03-December-2020.

Day 3 can from the CostCo Advent box. Pours clear bright gold with a decent creamy white head. Aroma is very mild - bits of bread and grass. Near med body - thks to carbonation. Flavor is bread, light grass, and something suggesting herb - just a bit of that. Clean. Crisp. Easy drinking.

Decent pilsener, but the previous two beers were a little better in this calendar. Crisp, straw and grain. A little corn. Golden pour with pretty good head and lacing, head retention. A little light tang that cloys in the finish but mostly crisp. Can from day three!
