Bottle @ Bjarnes. Pours dark brown with a light brown head, some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, light sourness, light licorice. Flavor is maty, caramel, dark chocolate, cocoa, licorice, little sourness, light alcohol notes. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. 100215

0.33l bottle from lot #1405. My bottle says 8.5 abv. Looks OK in the glass. Near-clear with only a soft blurry. It's kinda golden colored and on top there's a small bubbly but quite lacing white head. In the aroma I get a fair amount of sweet raw alcohol blended with ripe fruit sweetness. There's some malty barley wine hints in between this. Raisins and dried sweet alcoholic fruits. Smells quite OK. Tastes decent enough for what it actually is. A nice creamy feeling in the mouth and it's growing on the bubbles. Warming alcohol with lots of ripe fruits. This is definitely not something you want to chug down, or sip to enjoy in front of the fireplace for that matter. Not sure when you should be drinking this to be honest. With food perhaps? Not sure, as I don't have a bite in sight. It definitely gets the job done though. Lingering sweetish anchoring warming aftertaste. 06.08.2014

0.33l bottle from lot #1329. A massive massive gusher! All over the hotel room. I even think some hit the next hotel room as well... Anyhow what's left after the foam bomb has settled down is really cloudy and straw yellow. After about 40 minutes of cleaning up the head has of course settled all the way down bit what's left is white and islandy. Nose vise it's not all that bad. Slightly fruity sweet, some mineral water with traces of dust and peach. Yeah, it doesn't taste all that bad either - to my surprise. Thin and really watery in the mouth and it's also to my surprise not over carbonated. About average I would say. Quite summery and light drinkable. Some hop fruitiness also here. Can see that this is classified as a fruit beer, to me this is tastes much more like a plainsong Belgian ale. Definitely not a memorable one if you put aside the fact that this is one of the most gushing beers I've ever opened. And in a hotel room of all places! 04.08.2014

0.33l bottle from lot #1348.my bottle says 7.5% abv. Anyhow, it's a deep and dark brown one this. A small kinda islandy brown head is safely placed on the top. Nose vise this is lots of nice sweet dark chocolate blended with roasted malts and some salty soy tones. I'll gladly admit that this smells pretty darn nice. Tastes nice also. It's really sweet. Not directly lactose sweet but milk chocolate sweet in a way. A light oily feeling in the mouth and it's just below average on the bubbles. Dark roasted malty flavors, tones of cocoa, butter cocoa and you can even sense the alcohol. This is actually not a bad one at all. 05.08.2014

0.33l bottle from lot #1338.A slow gusher. You don't want to leave this alone next to a hotel room remote control for to long.. In the glass this is a cloudy kinda amber is copper colored one and it has a small near islandy lacing white head. Fruity ripe fruity nose. Yeasty things all here, a mild sweetness combined with earthy hints. Fair enough, but I have absolutely no idea what kind of beer this is based on the aroma. Tastes alright. Quite sweet. Lots of sweet ripe fruity tones here. It has a nice oily feeling in the mouth and it's about average on the creamy carbonation level. Not much bitterness to be detected, but it's still not cloying by any means. A faint sourness, but you have to look pretty hard to locate it. Absolutely drinkable, a tad dull but I finished the bottle. 05.08.2014

@Spanje, @Colmado L’estuca, @Girona, fles 33cl leuk en fraai etiket, bier schenkt helder robijnrood met fijne lichte kaki/witte kraag. tevens ongefilterd wat er zwemmen wat deeltjes in mijn glas. aroma is licht den, moutig en wat caramel. smaken zijn zacht en glad, matig zoet, caramel, lichte den, nou niet echt dat je zegt ja dit is een IPA, het komt eerder binnen als een dubbel mede door de hoge caramelsmaken. ook wat brood/zoethout. matige body, lage caramel afdronk. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bleder Gepetto on 15 May 2018 at 21:15 - Score: 6

330 mml bottle tasted the 29/09/2014. Haxzy dark colour with medium off-white head. Some head retention on the sides. Aroma of caramel, malts and yeasts. The taste is similar with caramel, malts, yeasts and bread. Some bitter aftertaste and a little spicy at the end. Not well balanced. Next one please!

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is grapefruity. Light fruity, toasted malty and peachy. Breadish. Dry and roasted. Bitter and grapefruity finish.
