Aroma: Sour, wood, chocolate.
Body: Medium body, low carbonation.
Flavour: Sour, cherry, alcohol. Rodenbach came to mind will tasting this.
Comment: Very different from the original non-barrel aged version. Very sour, I like it, but it is rather unbalanced and probably not for everyone.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 5 Oct 2013) Hazy amber colour with huge, frothy, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of cardamom, ginger, clove, citrus and cinnamon. Fruity, spicy, sourish taste with lemon, ginger, cinnamon and other spices. Medium body, quite dry. Unbalanced with different spices going in all directions and quite a disturbing sourness. Not really a success.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 4 Oct 2013) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of lemon, peaches and grass. Fruity taste with citrus, lemon, grapefruit, peaches, wheaty malt, grass and a certain citric/grassy bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Quite complex with lots of flavours, but it doesn’t really come together as a unity. A bit weird, but quite drinkable.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 3 Oct 2013) Dark amber colour with brief frothy beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with caramel, rye bread and orange peel. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, caramel, a slight acidity and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with balanced sweetness. There’s a slight acidity that raises some questions, can’t help thinking the generous bitterness hides some imperfections. Questionable, but drinkable. Would retry.

Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, sirap, tall med fruktiga toner. Stor beska med smak av grapefrukt med toner av bitterchoklad och tall. Jag gillar beskan men alkoholen slår igenom aningen för mycket och förstör helheten.

Draught@SBWF2013. Slightly hazy amber colour with a mediumsized off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is nutmeg, almonds, some cinnamon and overall quite Xmas spicy. Flavour is nutmeg, spices, some sour wooden notes along with mild vanilla to it as well. Contains so much spices it becomes strange, and the sourness to it tastes quite much like my homebrewing experiments with vanilla, when the beer has gone sour.

Bottled@SBWF2013. Deep ambery brown colour with a small head. Aroma is wood, some slight toasted and ashy notes along with some liquorice. Also the alcohol gives it a quite sweet sting. Flavour is liquorice, some alcohol, mild toffee and a bit ashy notes.
