Bottle. Hazy amber liquid with small off-white head. Aroma of apples, banana, smoke, booze, solvent and mango. A phenolic and estery mess with loads of alcohol. Taste is dry and medium bitter with notes of solvent and loads of phenols. Very coarse mouthfeel and weird. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Smells a bit like puke. Really, really bad.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 2, bottled 12/2/12, BBE 13/12/12, courtesy of baggio, thanks Robert!, 20130405) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized, fizzy and light brown. Aroma had roasted malts, chocolate, liquorice, dark chocolate and coffee Palate was full bodied and quite dry with surprisingly high carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, burnt malts, ash, soy sauce, liquorice, sweetness, dark chcolate, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, hoppy and bitter. A well balanced dark strong beer. A bit too burnt for my taste and alcohol began pushng through in the aftertaste but still an enjoyment to drink.

Svårdefinierbar. Väldigt fruktig, smak och doft av humle, tropisk frukt, juicekänsla, liten kolsyra med en tydlig grapebeska. Ingen traditionell bitter, annorlunda och intressant.

Bottle from Systembolaget, e-order in February 2013. Black with a huge tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, licorice, dark chocolate, ash and some fruit. Taste of roasted malt, licorice, coffee and dark chocolate. Rather bitter with a pleasant creamy mouth feel. Not bad but I think that this one might be better with one year in the cellar.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear reddish brown with a tiny and completely dissipating beige head. Greasy, caramellish aroma, very hot alcohol. Medium body only, roasty and sweet - sort of Strong Porter meets Barleywine. The bitterness appears mostly roasty. Heavy, heavy alcohol in the finish, let’s just call it boozy! But lots of promise here. 050313
