Description
Dorpsbrouwerij de Pimpelmeesch was zo’n 20 jaar geleden één van Nederlands eerste craftbrouwerijen, de kleine en lokale brouwerijen die je de laatste jaren steeds meer ziet verschijnen. Dat brouwer Ad Kusters, creatieve man met een scheikundige achtergrond, daarmee een echte trendsetter zou blijken te zijn, wist hij toen nog niet. Hij wist wèl wat hij wilde met zijn brouwerij: mooie, herkenbare bieren brouwen met een constante hoge kwaliteit.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a hazy straw colour with a few bubbles. The aroma is sweet malt, light caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a dry malt, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle shared at chriso’s Post-GBBF Shindig 2014 - London. Pours unclear gold with a creamy white head. The nose is heavy with stomach-turning cheese character. The flavor is very sweet but vile with more cheese and butyric acid. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Hard to drink. Heinous.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Courtesy of Deanso. Poured a hazy light amber with a frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is big yeast, light acid citrus. The flavour is light acid mineral with a light watery bubbly herb veggie mineral palate. Light bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottle shared at the July 2014 chriso tasting - London. Pours unclear yellow with a creamy white head. Sugary dough on the nose, yeast, white bread. Lightly oxidised, with medium sweetness, light dry dough, white bread, hay, faint toffee. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with light booze and candied sugars. OK.

Bottle shared at Chriso’s post GBBF minidig, 16/08/14. Murky brown coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is hot alcohol, raisin and berry and slaty cheese. Flavour is composed of earthy nutty, resin berry, meaty. Palate is medium sweet, highish carbonation. Pretty dull.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is yeast, malt, fruit , caramel . Flavour is yeast, malt, fruit, caramel, nuts, dried fruits. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Bottle @ home. Hazy yellow color, average sized white head. Don’t get a lot of aroma. Almost nothing actually. Hmm might be a little too cold then. Taste is also quite dull. Some malts, a little grainy, a bit sweet. Average body, firm carbonation. Meh. Don’t like it.

Bottle @ home. Hazy a bit pale yellow color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly yeasty, lightly orange peel, slightly bitter. Average to decent body and carbonation. It’s ok.
