Can from Jak's, New Westminster
Bright golden colour, hazy. Marzipan aroma, petrol. Decent malt base, a bit biscuity, but not much hop quality; lightly sweet.
Not too bad.

Dark amber, slightly hazy. Caramel and a touch of butter, with poor hop quality; this is old school and not even well executed.
Bad.

473mL can, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma is very herbal and vegetal, with some grassy notes and biscuity malt - oof, that's vegetal. Flavour is really unpleasant, with tons of sulphur... that's a lot of rotten eggs. Not much characteristic of a pilsner here. Ugh... needs serious work.

Golden brown, medium head, light caramel-accented nose, and on the palate kind of a full toasty caramel malt accent. Probably a little unbalanced (too sweet) but sometimes that happens with brown ale.

Dark brown, thin head. Has a little bit of fudge and molasses on the nose. Similar palate - definitely aiming for some alcohol, and molasses notes. Not the most authentic of attempts at Baltic Porter, but I feel that it's at least an honest attempt, and not just somebody trying to crib old world street cred for a mediocre porter. I do feel Kind was aiming for proper Baltic here, so credit for that.

Golden-amber, has a slightly chewy piney earthy sort of nose. Fairly bitter, slightly cheesy c hop - really a harsh extraction of bitterness.

Hazy pale yellow. Looks fizzy, and not much head. A little bit of sticky phenols and a touch of coriander. Ok but definitely sticky.
