Very dark, not much head. Sweet molasses malts and a hit of fruitiness. Lots of bitterness on the finish. I like this style of impy, drinkable with complex dark malts and fruitiness.

Dark brown, thin head. Sweeter, fudgey malts, lots of tobacco, grapefruit and pine. So a good hop character that complements the take on the malts.

Amber, chill haze, thin head. Moderate bitterness, have a sense that more hop brightness is needed -doesn't tell me it's an IPA. Ok, malt character is not all that well-developed.

Slightly hazy pale, thin head. Grainy, slight smokey yeast note, light bitterness. Biscuity accents.

Black colour with beautiful, creamy, compact head. This is a robust Stout, very creamy, with nice boutique coffee and roasted malt backbone, light residual sweetness, and some bourbon, spirit accents. I really enjoyed this one.

Hazy blond. Light acidity, light fruit, not necessarily passionfruit, but with some pleasant pith in the finish. Easy but refreshing.

Draught at the brewery, 6.3% ABV
Dull dark blond, hazy to cloudy. Lightly sweet and piney, with balanced bitterness, it's not chalky, and it's not juicy, so, although not very dry or bright, this is more west coast than east coast, and it's quite pleasant.

Draught at the brewery
Blond colour, bright, slightly hazy. Delicate crispy and chewy malts, robust bitterness, with some piney accents. Pretty good for the valley.

Blond colour, chill haze. Light crispy malt, very light grassy hops, but clean, and almost balanced.

Cloudy gold body and okay foam. Buttery pine aroma that does no one any favours. Taste is more butter, smooth pineyness. Full but missing so many elements from a good IPA I wonder what's the point.
