Draught Huge, very dense & fine yellowish head over veiled yellow-golden beer. Aromatic hops, citrus, cilandro, parsley, peach, oranges. Sweet-bitterish main flavour, getting oranges again. Finish is wry, on the edge of astringent. Quite (hopoil)slick, good carbonation, medium bodied. Classical, somewhter halfway IPA-DIPA. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Double-dryhopped NEDIPA from the Greek part of Cyprus, my first beer from that part of the world in fact. Yellowish egg-white, dense, membrane-lacing, creamy head, slowly opening over a milky opaque beige-tinged yolk-yellow robe. Aroma of granadilla, starfruit, rambutan, dough, lemongrass, whipped cream, mango, guava, milk, Betterfood, honeysuckle, vanilla blossom, moist white pepper, elderblossom somewhere. Sweet and utterly juicy onset, lots of mango, guava and granadilla effects, softly carbonated with soft, fluffy mouthfeel; doughy, ‘milky’ middle drenched in tropical hoppiness with refreshing citrusy edges, again mango, guava and also pomelo or kumquat – along with a sultry flowery note (jasmin?). A peppery hop bitterness ensues, a bit stronger even than usual for this style, or at least lingering for a bit longer. Fine NEDIPA indeed, not the most exuberant one in comparison with some of especially America’s greatest in this range, but remarkably well done, better than expected even.

500ml can. Jet black colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty, chocolately dark malty and slightly grainy, oaty aroma, hints of caramel, rock sugar, nutty overtones. Taste is bitter, roasty and slightly chocolately, dark malty, caramel malty, minimally metallic, hints of dark chocolate, treacle, molasses, rock sugar. Creamy texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Relatively light and cautious, a bit devious - not that impressive.
