Description
Brought together by a mutual disdain for the lack of options in Manitoba’s craft beer industry, homebrewers Colin Koop and Steve Gauthier started brewing together in 2015.

After exploring the buzzing beer scenes and craft culture outside their province, Colin and Steve saw the need to ignite that same passion and bring those same experiences back home to Winnipeg.

Starting a collaboration with Stone Angel Brewing, the two craft beer upstarts launched Devil May Care Brewing in 2018, sharing space, knowledge, and experience with friends as a natural fit to start making their mark on their local beer scene.

The first brews from Devil May Care will be ready in summer of 2018, and will be inspired by the combination of Brewer Steve’s traditional, science-based approach and Colin’s passion for creative ingredients and new industry trends.

Come on in, have a beer, and live the dream with us.

47,3 cl bottle @ Timo A Aroma has tropical fruit, fruit juice and grapefruit. Flavour has grapefruit, menthol, alcohol and cereal. Stuffy finish with grapefruity hops.

On tap at Stone Angel, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is very sludgy and harsh, with burnt roast and just some harsh maltiness. Flavour is very harsh, with burnt malt, earthy notes, and rubber. Something is wrong here. Needs serious fixing.

On tap at Stone Angel, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and a hint of caramel - very light. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt and a touch of caramel. Very light and sweet. Meh.

On tap at Stone Angel, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out unfermented wort and biscuity malt. Flavour is fairly subdued, with biscuity malt, some floral hops and some unfermented wort. Doesn't seem prime. Needs work.

473ml can found in the 'Peg. Has a very brown black body and brown foam that dissipates quick. Big sugary chocolatey biscuit on the nose with minimal hop hints, some milky coffee. Flavour is slightly burnt barley with black coffee notes. Some syrupy sweetness but it's faint. A little bit low key, could use some work, an okay local style but find it on the cheap.

Muddy gold body, minimal foam. Smells of some funked pineapple and peach. Flavour is heavy hops with caramel hints. Mouthfeel is hop infused oiliness. Not bad, could use some tweaking.
