Deep cranberry tinted amber coloured body with a super thin off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops, some deep malt and a bit of caramel. Medium-bodied; Sharp hop bittering taste with some caramel and malt also prominent. Aftertaste shows a good balance of hops and malt with some sugars too. Overall, a good red & much better than a lot of others in the style. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 31 May 2005.

Bottle Pours a clear mahogany with a dingy coloered fairly lasting head. Sweet maly arom with caramel and fresh cut wood. Quite bitter flavor citrusy and piney. The bitternes lasts well into the long lingering aftertaste. Very soft carbonation and a moderate feel.Fairly "green" grassy and woody. I don’t pick up on such an obviouse sweetness, but I stil am not to high on this one.

Bottle (shared with Capflu, DumDum and Lubière): Poured a light golden color ale with a small head without much retention. Floral aroma with weak Belgian yeast. Taste is a mix between some coriander, a bit of candi sugar and some subtle floral malt. Body is definitely too thin and this beer lacks character. Thanks Lubière.

Botle poured a clear light amber with a HUGE white head. Tons of lively bubbles coming up. Lots of chunky lacing. Aroma is sweet apples, pears and cloves. Flavorsa re taht Belgian musty note as well as lotsof swet lightly fruity flavors. A slight spice that is typical with the style but not so much as others. Quite drinkable and I like it a lot.

Bottle Pours a clear deep redish brown. Small off white head and sparse lacing. Aroma is mainly a fairly sweet woody smell with some dark maltiness. Flavors are simlar with the sweetness coming from what tastes like brown sugar. There is a slight note that I guess is ginger but, just a bit off. Feel is smooth and nice, finish is clean and a bit sweet.

Pitch black coloured body with a dark brown head. Aroma of nice roasted malt, big chocolate and coffee scents. Medium-bodied; Strong dark chocolate (~77% cacao) tastes with a good coffee presence as well. Aftertaste very bitter and strong, but also remarkably pleasant! Overall, a nice beer-I’m very happy that i’m able to try it! Good chocolate and coffee tastes run throughout this beer and it should be sampled if available! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased at BevMo in Danville, California on 10-December-2004.

Bottle pours a light amber/orange with a small white head and no real lacing. Light malty and hop aroma with a woody, slightly carmely/ grapefruity flavor. Feel was light a bit thin and quite lively. Nothing too special.

Bottled. Clear deep golden, rocky head. Coriander aroma. Sweet and fruit with dense, rounded maltiness. Honeyish finish. A solid beer with lovely mouthfeel. Perhaps a little hard on the coriander.

Bottle Pours a very dark bown with a small tan head that setles into a fine ring that is maintained indefinately. Spotty lacing. Aroma is a delicious, chocolatey, molasas, with a hint of espresso and plenty of dark roasted grain. Flavor is a much more bitter and hopy than the aroma led me to expect. Fairly well balanced but strong. Finish is bitterswet chocolate and dry.

Bottle. Pale, slightly hazy beer with a thin pure white head. Aroma of yeast, malt, spice (corriander). Flavor of orange, malt, some banana, ending with a bit of yeast and spice. Medium finish. Easy to drink. Hides alcohol well. Flavor is a bit different. Not as yeasty as a trippel and a little more malt/citrus flavors. It’s not bad, just nothing extraordinary.
