22 oz bttle purchased at Wine Warehouse, Charlottesville for $3.99. Clear peachy amber in color with an inch of off-white head. Wow, interesting aroma without a doubt. Smells like pizza... or a good Italian pasta dish with a sweet undertone of honey. Flavor overwhelms with basil- so if you don’t like the spice, this is a no-no, with light honey. Interesting... very interesting.

Draught at Stuffed Sandwich, San Gabriel. Dark brown, small creamy head. Notes of coffee. Sweet with plenty of molasses and rather mellow mouthfeel. Lightly salty finish. A sub-par stout.

Thanks to Darkover for the hookup. Dark brown/black with a thick and foamy dark brown head that lasts a long time. Decent lacing. Very appealing look all around. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Body seems rich at first then suddenly becomes a little watery. Cocoa and chocolatey malt flavors are pretty strong, with a bit of coffee thrown in too. The finish is moderately bitter coffee. All in all above average.

Golden ale with thin white head. Sweet coriander aroma, and rosewater notes. Rather thin in mouth, with rosewood notes, faint spices, non-descript and boring. DumDum’s Belgian Sendoff on August 25, 2005.

Deep cranberry tinted amber coloured body with a super thin off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops, some deep malt and a bit of caramel. Medium-bodied; Sharp hop bittering taste with some caramel and malt also prominent. Aftertaste shows a good balance of hops and malt with some sugars too. Overall, a good red & much better than a lot of others in the style. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 31 May 2005.

Bottle Pours a clear mahogany with a dingy coloered fairly lasting head. Sweet maly arom with caramel and fresh cut wood. Quite bitter flavor citrusy and piney. The bitternes lasts well into the long lingering aftertaste. Very soft carbonation and a moderate feel.Fairly "green" grassy and woody. I don’t pick up on such an obviouse sweetness, but I stil am not to high on this one.

Bottle (shared with Capflu, DumDum and Lubière): Poured a light golden color ale with a small head without much retention. Floral aroma with weak Belgian yeast. Taste is a mix between some coriander, a bit of candi sugar and some subtle floral malt. Body is definitely too thin and this beer lacks character. Thanks Lubière.

22-oz bottle. Medium brown with a small head. Smells like pumpkin pie! Lots of sweet sices, including a smack of ginger in the nose. Flavor is also pumpkin-pie like. Lightly gingerer- not overbearing. Tasty.

Bottled. Black in appearance with a small head. Smells of sweet chocolate malts, some roastiness, some fruitiness. Smooth taste: sweet chocolates- not dark, rich, and heavy. Tasty.

Botle poured a clear light amber with a HUGE white head. Tons of lively bubbles coming up. Lots of chunky lacing. Aroma is sweet apples, pears and cloves. Flavorsa re taht Belgian musty note as well as lotsof swet lightly fruity flavors. A slight spice that is typical with the style but not so much as others. Quite drinkable and I like it a lot.
