33cl. bottle from the supermarket, funny old-fashioned label. Small, dence head with a very dark brown colour. Faint hops in aroma, but the high alcohol really kicks in here. Light sweetness, medium to full body, the high abv. is present all the time, leaving a burning sensation on the palate. Light notes of caramel, liquorice and hops in the finish. A bit unrefined beer, I miss some more subtle flavor notes. Anyways, its a cheap beer.

Bottle shared at tasting. Pours clear brown with very small white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, brown sugar and sweet dark fruit. Flavour has same aspects and high alcohol percentage is mostly hidden apart from a little warmth in the finsh.

Beautiful reddish brown colour, thick but disappearing tan head. Sweetish caramel aroma, brown sugar, alcohol. Slight burnt malts & liquorice. Flavour mostly sweet, caramel, sweet malts. Only slight hops, most of the bitterness in the beer is malts bitterness. Sticky mouthfeel. Finish rather sticky, burnt malt bitterness, short to moderately short. Classical doppelbock. Not my favourite style, but not a bad beer in the style. (From 33cL bottle, thanks RM for sharing)

Clear yellow almost without head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Finish is light bitter and a bit alcoholic. There is not enough flavor to justify an ABV of 6.6 %. 040410
