Bottled @ Olfestival 09 pre-tasting. Clear copper color, short head. Aroma of some hop, bit caramelly. Tastes like a dunkel at least, but quite boring.

On tap at Charlie’s. Poured brown with a red tinge, head was off-white. Aroma is full of spices, sweets and a touch of alcohol. The flavor is pleasant with malts, sweets and spices. Very enjoyable.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. Alcohol, malty sweetness and pale malts in the aroma. The flavor is sweet and alcoholic too, with caramel and some bitterness. Warming and full-bodied, sweet, yet dryish. I really can’t see the point in these Danish super strong Easter brews. And I really can’t see what the connection with Easter or Spring might bee. But it’s a rather clean beer, even if I don’t care too much of it. (090430)

Bottle. A clear, copper beer wtih a finger-thick off-white to beige head. Malty-sweet and biscuity nose with some alcohol, caramel, a hint of molasses and some hops. Sweet and malty flavor with a molasses-like, or hvidtøl-like malty sweetness. Fine bitterness too, but less than expected or hoped for. Full-bodied and warming, rather sticky. Sweet finish with some bitterness. I find the beer to be a bit too much, with less hoppyness than expected from the name. A quite decent beer though. (090401)

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts malty and dry, strong, the finish is a bit moldy-scratchy. Not bad!
