Huge thanks to my friends Fiene and Marcel for organizing this one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Fine roasty malty aroma. Starts mild, malty, more and more roasty notes, not too dry. Shy smokey touch. Background with some hints of berries, shy bitterness. Finish well balanced, dry-roasty-malty. Salty touch. Nice!

Clear, chestnut color and a nice off-white head. Malty taste, caramel, faint herbal. Mild.

Almost clear, chestnut color and an off-white head. Less sweet than the nose expected. Burnt caramell over a decent sweet maltyness.

Hazy and quite muddled. Tastes a bit like a yeast sludge. Lacking the crispness of a great lager. D&S Dresden

Bottle 33cl. Pours a clear black with areddish hue and a small, beige head. Subtle roast and soy sauce in the nose. Medium body, again sweet roast, a hint of licorice and slightly dusty hops. No real bitterness though. Okay, but no biggie. 140920

Bottle: Hazy, Golden, creamy white head; moderate sourish-sweetish aroma of lemony fruits and yeast, mild toasty(!) background; moderate sourish-sweetish flavour, quite light bodied, a bit fuzzy, a bit sticky; fruity and mildly aromatic-hoppy finish. Good, but a strange idea to Call a Weizen a Zwickel...

Bottle: Cloudy, orangey coloured, medium-sized creamy white head, a slight acidity shows up im the grainy and herbal-hoppy nose; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied and fizzy; short bitter-sweet fruity and hoppy brew. An amateurish brew...

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy, deep golden with a rich and lacing off-white head. One of those Bocks that are neither Heller, nor Dunkler. A Bernstein Bock perhaps....Sweet, perfumy nose almost with a toffee touch. Body is malty, but not overly rich, again some toffee but not overly sweet. Good, balancing hoppiness at the finish. Quite pleasant. 130820

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a slightly gazy, grayish golden with a white head. Nose has some yeast and cloves but also some smelly feet. Medium body, yeast, banana, cloves and bubblegum - quite delicious. Dry finish. Nice, apart from that sweaty off-flavor in the nose. 130820

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear, nutty brown with a tiny, off-white head. Nutty, bready nose. Medium body, biscuity, sweet caramel, nuts and rye bread with a slight tartness. Very little bitterness. Decent. 130820
