Description
Four lifelong Oregonians got together on February 13, 2009 and decided that their knowledge of locale and understanding of craft beer could be an excellent starting point for a business. Later that year Hop Valley Brewing had its debut in Springfield, Oregon, but grew too large for its 15-barrel capacity and opened a new 60-barrel brewhouse and taproom in Eugene in 2013. In July 2016 MillerCoors acquired a majority stake of Hop Valley through its Tenth and Blake craft beer and import division. Hop Valley Brewing Company will operate as a separate business unit of Tenth and Blake.

22 oz. bottle, pours orangey amber with a white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, grapefruit, caramel and citrus hops. Flavour of fresh resinous hops, loads of tropical fruits (mango, peach), some grapefruit, balanced beautifully by caramel malts. Really well-made.

Bottle. Pours red with medium off white head. Much lacing. Piney hop aroma, almost like an IPA. Full bodied, hop flavour, but again balanced with caramel. Hop finish

Draught. Cloudy orange pour with medium white head. Aroma is citrus, notably tangerine with pine. Hoppy flavour, full body. Doesn’t taste as strong as it is. Hop finish with more tangerine.

A hazed golden IPA with a very thin white head. In aroma, nice pungeant hops, floral and pinhey with clove honey notes. In mouth, another Belgian inspired IPA with smooth herbaceous hops, catnip, quite nice and funkey. On tap at Belmont Station, Sept. 4 2010.
