Smooth and mild beginning. Easy to drink, slightly malty with a nice bitterness in the end. Very dry, fruity parts, nice English Pale Ale.

Bottle ordered from the 'brewery'. Rich malty aroma with a citrus edge. Slightly hazy dark amber. Bubbly head soon shrinks to an archipelago. initial burst of citrus is short-lived. A sweet edges boiled veg taste then comes through. The bitterness gradually gets quinine. Some herbal elements but ultimately we have oldschool boiled veg and quinine. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. The other two beers from this lot were decent for twiggy pushers but this at 5% just manages to hit the wrong notes. Perhaps older stock.

Bottle ordered from Fanscapes. Initial sweet berry aroma before grains and malts kick in. Chestnut. Thick foamy off-white head. I found it surprisingly bitter and also grainy, alongside a tart berry edge. It does tone down as underlying caramel sweetness comes through. Medium bodied. Verges on creamy. Fizzy carbonation. Dry astringent finish. As per the first Fanscapes beer I rated this is better than I expected.

Bottle ordered from the company. Soapy herbal citrus aroma. A slight haze to the medium gold. Thick and lively foamy white head. Medium bitter. Initially quinine and sharp citrus. Then develops a herby edge. Light bodied. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Didn't have high hopes but went down will in a traditional Pale Ale way.
