BOTTLE 33 CL from Cuso.
Look: slightly hazy ruby-brown, light beige frothy head with poor retention.
Aroma: smoky like a rauchbier, soy sauce, light roast. Gets progressively weaker and a bit alcoholic as it warms.
Taste: Light roast at the beginning, some malt sweetness, light smoke, moderate but too harsh bitterness in the finish. Medium bodyIt is definitely not a porter, but decent rauchbier/rauchbock.

Bottle, 0.33l, courtesy of Maurizio. Pours murky brown with large creamy light brown head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, smoke, leather and dried fruits. Taste starts with sweet caramel and moderate roasted malt, follows with smoky notes, chocolate and toffee, mouthfeel is spicy and warming, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Not so smoky as expected, but still rich and very tasty...

Pours some sort of amber, just a bit of foam. Nose has mainly sweet malts, caramel. Seems that hop presence has faded by a large extent - if it was ever there in the aroma. Taste has some substantial bitterness, so there are definitely a lot of hops in this beer. Clean, dry and not so fruity taste - what you would actually not expect from the nose. Aftertaste also dry. Clean finish leaves some lingering resiny bitterness.

Amber golden color. Very strange, off putting hop character with strong malt character. Tastes ok. Moderately bitter finish. Not bad

clear darker golden colour, moderate sized, quite stable off-white head; aroma and taste of tropical fruits, piney notes, some minimal citruses and caramel, as well as bread - so far this is the best masterpiece of the ’bakancsliata’ serie - at least for me

On tap. Dark orange body, foamy off-white head. Aroma of toast, caramel, pine and a tiny bit of bubble gum. The taste is pretty mich like the aroma: toasty and piney with some bubble gum. Nice IPA.

cloudy golden to orange colour, some off-white head;aroma of some passion fruit, caramel, buttery notes, grassy-stall notes; taste is the same; not that convincing beer from Zoltán - hopefully the next one will be better

330ml bottle, shared with Blackhaddock, Fin and his wife at Les Crepes de Sophie, Shrewsbury. Thanks to Cuso for the trade. Like Mr Haddock below I assumed this was brewed by Kaltenecker, and in fact my bottle has a different label design to the one above. Pretty sure this is the same. Anyway, it’s a decent smoked beer with a good smokey aroma. Taste brings restrained smokey bacon, good malts with a mild bitterness. Nice.

330ml Bottle (Pyroman Rauchporter): BBD 28 Dec 2014, shared with Fin and Mat on 23 Aug 2014 at Sophie’s Creperie. Black body with a beige head. The aroma was of smoked peat and over roasted malts with a coffee trace. The coffee trace turned more prominent in the taste as the malts gave a bitter bite to the flavour. Different and interesting. Not as smooth as I expected but a decent Porter: more smoked bacon than a full blown smoked ham! This has also given me my first Hungarian rating, even though it was brewed in the Slovak Republic (I think).
