Associated with 2 Venues
Established in 1994
M-Reg was the first brew on August 1st 1994.We now have a range of over forty distinct products including Fruit Beers made with real fruit, Herb beers made with fresh Herbs, Wheat beers made with a high proportion of malted wheat, black beers with chocolate malt , Honey beers made with real Honey... etc. etc. .
The plant was constructed from mainly second hand stainless steel equipment, with an output capacity of four brewer's barrels per brew (36 gallons is a brewer's barrel). At that time an average of five brews a week were made.
Today, Church End Brewery is housed in a refurbished social club.
During 2008 we upgraded our brewing plant to 20 Barrels per brew. Most of the brewing kit was sourced in the U.K. - Doncaster no less. During the installation new greener refrigeration and gas burners were installed, and this has already led to a 25% reduction in the consumption of both.

Gravity cask at the 30th Tamworth Beer Festival, Assembly Rooms, 06/09/24.
Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a beige cap that slips away to the edge.
Nose is chocolate, spice, charr, dark malts, hint of coffee.
Taste comprises chocolate orange, less of the coffee vibes, dark malts.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close.
Okay if a little adjuncty.

Cask half @ The Bull, Birmingham shared with Haddock after incurring the wrath of the landlady for sneaking in whilst delivery was taking place (very much not allowed). Pours dark, beige cap. Distant liquorice coming into view alongside a light bodied dark malt profile.. decent dark mild overall.

Shared half-pint in The Bull, Birmingham with minutemat on 25th January 2024. I was convinced I'd rated this before, but my records show I haven't until now! Cask and hand-pulled, it came a dark ruby colour with a decent beige head. Roasted, toasted malts with a chocolate edge, it's a pleasant easy going Mild with plenty going on, liked it.

Clear amber pour with a small white head. Aromas and taste of malt/grain, nuts (some chestnut?) and some other fruits – nice.
