Description

Clear light gold; good creamy white head, dense, collapsing with good lace. Nose both grainy and light-coloured malts. Not very assertive, just a bit grassy. Light, fresh hoppy bitterness overlying slightly toasted malt sweetness. Herbal, grassy flavours. Rather well-bodied for Pilsner (or even Märzen). Bitterish finish, herbal, not metallic. Hint of salt in the aftertaste. Decent Pilsner, better than the Premium. But not great.

Very pale gold; virtually no head. Nose of grain, bit of chaff, faint hops. Quite bitter taste - not bad at all. Good german-type hops, with good sugary malt underneath. But bitterness & hops faint with the finish, a bit of metallic tang excepted. Aftertaste is reall poor: metallic and watery. It started not bad at all whilst tasting. But oh for that finish.
