Can. Pours an opaque light orange - about the color of an apricot that isn't quite ripe. Head is decent at first but dies back fairly quickly. Aromas are heavy at first but seem to die back... kind of a juicy fruit, cantaloupe, lemon and resin thing. Flavor is a little tart, which threw me at first. I like it more by the sip... but it is a flavor that hit me as \"odd\" right out of the can. Kind of an unripe fruit (cantaloupe and apricot or plum meat near the pit) thing. Finish is a bit resinous. Not bad.

Can: Cloudy, light yellow with a large white head. Funky, floral scent. Slightly bitter grapefruit, flowers, lemon and funk taste. Old straw/grass bitter. Different.

Pour is a milky looking orange juice with a small white head. Aroma is dank resinous and bitter. Not a lot of fruit more of a earthy green hop. Flavor is more dankness, a slight bitterness with some honey malt giving this a bit of body. You can almost taste and feel hop powder grittiness in this. Not my fav IPA from this brewer but this had a few talking points along the way.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours very hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, melon, red apple, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, cracker, white bread, light pine/leather/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, melon, red apple, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, cracker, white bread, light pine/leather/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, pear, melon, red apple, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, pine, cracker, white bread, light leather/musty funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness and carbonation. High carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is an outstanding hoppy saison. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Not aggressive. Awesome balanced Brett/Saison yeast complexity, earthy noble hops, and pilsner malts. No residual sweetness from crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected.
