Draft. Hazy pale yellow color white head. Herbal aroma, juniper taste. I'm not generally a fan of beers made to taste like mixed drinks, and this proves that case.

Can from Wine Tree East shared with the CB crew. Pours a clearish straw gold with a finger of foam that dissipates. Lots of yeast on the nose, rustic malt and faint peppery notes with lots of noble hops. Dry and quite sessionable. Some light guava as it warms, but not much fruit to speak of. This is really a lot closer to a Belgian blonde or a light saison moreso than an IPA. Not really sure what Central State was going for on this one. --- Beer merged from original tick of Land Yacht on 30 Dec 2017 at 00:06 - Score: 7. Original review text: Lots of yeast on the nose, mKt and faint peppery, noble hops. Drynand sessionable. Rating as a Belgian ale and not an ipa.

Can from Wine Tree East. Pours a pretty, deep pink color with a finger of rose colored head that lingers then dissipates. Raspberry forward nose, light malt and grass. Bone dry on the palate, hay, mineral and more raspberry skin. Lingering raspberry on the finish, but a slight astringent bitterness...probably a touch over-attenuated. Really close to being great.

On tap at HopCat, pours black with a large brown head. Nose brings out metallic notes, along with toasted malt. Flavour is unpleasant, with metallic notes and roast. Not getting the mead or barrels. This is just off.
