16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 6/2019. Pours nearly opaque dark ruby red/purple color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky pink head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy blackberries, fruit skin/seed, currant, lemon, peach, plum, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, white bread dough, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of blackberries, fruity/acidic yeast, lactose, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge juicy/tart/tangy blackberries, fruit skin/seed, currant, lemon, peach, plum, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, white bread dough, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Very mild fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and tannic spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy blackberries, fruit skin/seed, currant, lemon, peach, plum, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, white bread dough, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of blackberries, fruity/acidic yeast, lactose, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness, and tangy fruit balance; with zero cloying/puckering flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly acidic/tangy/tannic mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an excellent fruited milkshake sour. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of blackberries, fruity/acidic yeast, lactose, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink with the mildly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Great soft feel, and mildly lactic for the style. Awesome balance of super juicy/jammy berries and lacto complexity; with a perfectly balanced lactose and oat/malt backbone against acidity. Light residual sweetness with lingering acidic/tangy dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected. No complaints.
