Description

26/VII/18 - 33cl bottle @ Waddengenot (Pieterburen, NL) - BB: XII/18 (2018-902)

Note: paired with mussels, but was way too sweet and sugary. Normally spelt beer should be spicy and dry??
Clear copper orange beer, big creamy solid white head, very stable, adhesive, leaving lots of lacing in the glass. Aroma: very oxidized, bit fruity, honey, orange peel, sweetish, floral touch. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very sweet, what the hell? Floral, bit sugary, soapy, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: a bit metallic, soapy, sugary, malty, caramel, more soap, bah...

30 cl. bottle @ de Zilte Rus in Oosterend, bought @Jumbo Formerum. Clear golden with a white head. Grainy aroma with some floral hops and a hint of butter. Taste is medium bitter with a metallic finish. Not bad for a micro brewery pilsner but totally uninteresting.

Many thanks to ShivanDragon for this bottle! Smooth grainy beginning. Very dry grains - typical spelt. Round and deep, grainy with sweetish hints and nearly no bitterness. Interesting.

Just your typical non-Belgian blonde. Malty, yeasty, fairly bitter, something floral, something sweet. Not bad at all!
