Keg at BD Castlegate. It pours clear amber with a small frothy white head. The aroma is earthy, damp spent grain, cereal, nuttiness, porridge, spice, green banana and dull floral/elderflower notes. The taste is crisp, dry, slightly sharp, quite grainy, earthy, nutty, woody, then the elderflower builds, slightly tangy, gooseberry, white grape and fairly sharp alcohol with a drying, grainy, woody finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. I wish this was cleaner and brighter, which would let the elderflower really sing. So-so.

--Bottled, from Systembolaget. -- Cloudy straw colour, coarse head. Aroma of pineapple in syrup. Sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Pineapple and syrup, notes of butter. Low bitterness.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is floral, some spices and mild elderflowers to it. Flavour is floral, elderflowers some mild couch medicine sweetness and spiciness.

Mörkt gyllengul vätska med lätt storbubbligt skumlock. Lätt gräsighet med en degig arom. Beskedlig maltighet möter en ren men nertonad gräsig beska. Sammanfattningsvis kanske bättre att omgradera denna west coast IPA till en beskedlig och lättdrucken APA.
