[First rating in Denmark is the one that counts] A black beer with a nice brown disappearing head. The aroma is of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet roasted with notes of malt and chocolate.

This is by far the biggest deviance I’ve ever had in a rerate - I wonder what made the difference, the second rating wasn’t a bad bottle, but ofcourse it might have been old?

Murky orange-red body (very murky!), big puffy cream head. Sweet citrusy, earthy, toasty aroma. The flavor caught me off-guard at first with strong pineapple juice notes. These coexist with earthy, floral hops notes, caramel, and pear. Yeah, pear. This is a weird beer, no doubt about it. Tastes like something that should end up in a thermos or an 8 ounce cardboard container with a picture of Slimer on the front of the box. Noteworthy. Thanks Dan (jah noth) for the bottle!

Deep red-brown hazy body, thin light cream head. Rich aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, molasses and a touch of wood and licorice. Rich body with plenty of chalky roast and chocolate, hints of licorice and coffee cream, and a rather subtle peaty smoky finish. Definitely a unique taste, this beer is rich like a stout but imbued with the unique non-overpowering, non-dominant smoked flavors. Thanks Dan (jah noth) for this gem!

Draft. Amber color with an off-white head. Grapefruit aroma. Balanced flavor of grapefruit, malt sweetness, some pine tar. Easy drinking.

2003 bottle sampled 12-21-04; Paid $2.10 for a 12-oz single. Deep rubyish brown with a small head. Smells very sweet and malty. Taste is alcohol-filled... quite complex, with sweetness up front, chocolate middle, coffee ending, and bitter licorice finish. A nice brew.

Bottle Pours a hazy light golden color with a very large fluffy off-white head. A strange fruity aroma, with notes of apricots orange and pineapple. Falvorsa re much of the same. Orange, pineapple, and the hops though not very biter for an IPA. Sublte, easy and just OK. Palate is a nice smooth feel and the finish is slightly bitter hop bite.

Hazy deep yellow color that supports a tall, thick, white head. Lightly malty aroma. Thin body with a flavor that has an orange aftertaste. Kinda wierd. Not the best Pale Ale out there, but some will like this I guess.

golden honey colored hazy pour with a tall sticky off white head. Subdued aroma of malt with just a bit of spicy hops. The flavor is slightly bitter with a trace of sourness. Nothing too extreme though, more of a Pale Ale than an IPA. Not bad, but a bit tame. A good one if you aren’t really into the hop monster IPAs.

Deep chocolate brown body, thin tan/brown head. Rich aroma of chocolate, licorice, and molasses. The body was quite rich and oily with tart rich chocolate, licorice, smoke, and charcoal with a tangy and woody mouthfeel. Reminded me of an English stout or perhaps even a Baltic Porter. Also somewhat similar to Dark Horse Cream Stout but with stronger soy notes. Good stout.

Opaque pour with an intense, burnt brown head - complex aroma of chocolate, toffee, some vanilla - a little on the thin-bodied side, but the flavor does a good job at trying to make up for that - carmelized brown sugar, dark roast coffee, chocolate and a touch of liquorice all make apearances - espresso bitterness in the finish - don’t see what’s exactly "extra" about it, but good none-the-less.
