650ml bottle. Amber brown in colour, some bubbles and a good head. Tne nose has toffee and malt. The taste has butterscotch and some sort of soft drink going on - reminds me of lager-tops. The palate is fairly rich and textured but not very refreshing. Overall, despite the unbalanced palate it is quite drinkable.

Doesnt like the bottle, the white glass... Beer in the glass better, brownish, nice head. Starts malty and dry, a bit scratchy-earthy. More and more dry. Not bad but not my favourite.

Appearance: Swing-top. Darkish amber. Clear. Lots of off-white head. Aroma: Sweet, caramel. Honey. Spices? Taste: Again, quite sweet. Caramel and some spices. Not all bad. Long aftertaste. Info: 650ml bottle, 17/7-2010

Big deep cream-coloured lasting head. Amber body. Perfumy caramel aroma. Dry-sweet perfumy lacquer and wood taste with papery meaty notes. Light body. Mild mouthfeel. Dryish smoky dandelion aftertaste with ashy lime notes. Really unusual, but not good. (0.25l draft, A La Pause Rabelaisienne, Chinon.)

Beer of the month in Lyon Airport. A dark amber beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of fruit, alcohol, malt, and a spice. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, soda, spices, and fruit, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Swingtop bottle from Auchan, Quatre Temps, La Défense, Paris
Light amber color. Strange herbs and lemon aroma (thyme, rosemary). Strange flavor: cheap beer, with some light caramel, light herbs, and light lemonade. Weird.

Finally found some other Fischer’s in the Paris region. Harder than you think - most chain stores have one, or if you’re lucky two, types of Fischer around here. So I pop open the pot-stopper cap - and pour. Okay dark yellow colour, lots of head. Aroma is nuts and malts some tinniness and empty can smells in there too. Taste is a smooth mix of hops and coriander, with malts thrown in at the end. That’s not bad. Also a little soda pop and perfumed water at the end - Whisky Tango Foxtrot? Lots of things going on here. Mixed feelings about it, but overall it’s a good amber, lots of things to like or dislike and worth a try.

23/12 A 0.65 l bottle, shared with Doggythedog. It poured nice amber body with big yellow head. Sweet caramel and sugary aroma. Flavor was similar, caramel, some sugar sweetness, not really balanced, but drinkable at least. Medium but sticky bodied of all that sugar. Finish was long and sweet, of course. Expected much more from this, got only bunch of cheesy sweetness. Not a disaster though and quite drinkable.

Bottle purchased somewhere in France, shared with heavy Poured an interesting amber-orange colour. Off white, thick head that went away relatively slowly. Sweet, slightly orangey nose. Sweet orangey and caramelly light taste. Fakeish sweetness, dust. Eh, quite restrained actually but interesting and drinkable in a way I guess. Had stranger, had worse. And the most important thing, the plebs was pleased (inside joke :D).

650ml Beautiful Flip-Top Bottle. Nice amber color with a small head. Oversweet malty flavor with lots of sugar and some herbal and floral notes. Quite artificial.
