2/10/2021. Can received via Poland courtesy of Marek. Pours clear pale golden with a frothy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grain, fruit, grass, touch of cardboard. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily watery texture, average carbonation. So so.

Clear golden colour, medium sized dense white head which lasts for several minutes ; aroma of and taste of a grainy-malty lager with some herbal, grassy,, cardboard and metallic notes ; not that bad

330mml. can. @Airbnb Viana do Castelo, Viana do Castelo (Portugal). 11/10/2020 [#3.586 Global - #189 Portugal - #1 Cerveja Quinas (My Portuguese Brewery #62)] Pale golden colour with a medium white head. Fizzy. Aroma is sweet grains, soft metallic and yeast. Taste is grainy and herbal leading to a soft watery bittersweet finish. Next one please!

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 3B). Bottle 50 cl - Batch B073LL1 (BBF 30.09.2020). AROMA: medium oxidation notes (carboard), mixed with pilsner malt (honey) with a slight sweet character and medium-low fruity esters. Slight oxidized hops (dried grass). APPEARANCE: deep gold color and clear. medium-low white head with average retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with initial medium-high oxidation notes (cardboard) followed by medium malt flavor (honey-like). medium-low bitterness rendering the tasting a bit sweet. finishes semi-dry. PALATE: meidum to medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a generic pilsner beer showing oxidation notes and a bit unbalanced bitterness wise.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 12C). Bottle 50 cl - Batch B013IPA1 (BBF 10.06.2020). AROMA: medium-high oxidized hop aroma (dried grass) with a low stale malt background. APPEARANCE: light amber color and clear. medium-large ivory head, creamy, with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium oxidized hop (dried grass), low and slightly sweet malt background with a stale character. medium-high bitterness with a semi-dry to dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an IPA already dead.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 2C). Bottle 50 cl - Batch B044LP1 (BBF 04.08.2020). AROMA: medium-low roasted aroma with a slight grainy character. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque. medium light brown head, creamy, with medium-low retention. TASTE: initial medium acidic note, neutral, lactic-like, followed by medium-low roasted malt (coffee-like). medium-low bitterness with an almost dry finish. PALATE: medium-light body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: although the aroma is ok, the flavor has a predominant neutral sourness that is not desirable.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 9A). Bottle 50 cl - Batch B036EX1 (BBF 04.08.2020). AROMA: medium to medium-high malty aroma with roasted bread crust and slight alcohol. APPEARANCE: deep amber color and sligtly hazy. medium beige head, creamy, with good retention. leg formation. TASTE: medium malty flavor (bread crust and slight toastiness). medium-low bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish. PALATE: medium to medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: an ok doppelbock that would be better with improved flavor notes.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 6A). Bottle 50 cl - Batch B078SL1 (BBF 30.09.2020). AROMA: medium malt aroma with a toasty and oxidized profile (cardboard). APPEARANCE: amber color and clear. medium beige head, creamy, with medium-low retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with moderate malty and oxidized notes (stale bread crust, toasty, slight cardboard). medium to medium-low bitterness. finishes moderately dry. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: it seems to be an ok marzen but the sample was already oxidized.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 10A). Bottle 50 cl - Batch B128TB1 (BBF 04.02.2021). AROMA: medium-low wheat, slight banana and a low phenolic background (plastic-like) and minerally. APPEARANCE: gold color and slightly hazy. medium white head, creamy, with medium retention. TASTE: medium wheat flavor, with medium banana and slight citrus. low bitterness with a semi-dry and yeasty finish. PALATE: medium body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an average weissbier.
