Draught, 5.2% at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà, Rome. Good smoky aroma, chew tobacco and firewood. Clear copper colour. Semi-stable head. Nicely smoked flavour, quite distinct. Soft carbonation. Ends on a sweet and sour note. Quite harmonious and drinkable.

From tap at Ølbaren. Pours unclear orange. Aroma is grassy and hoppy. Medium-bodied. Taste is rather grassy, yeasty and wheat. Bitter finish.

Bottle at Ølbaren. Pours orange. Aroma is extremely smoky. Taste is very sweet malty with a distinct smoke note. This lasts into the rather dry finish.

Bottled. An unclear orange beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wheat and banana, while the flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of wheat and banana.

Pours a nice dark golden coloured with small firm white head and mild smoked bacon nose. Malty and smoked taste with notes of wood and also smoked bacon. This was my second rauchbier, so in comparison with heavy Schlenkerla it’s quite gently.

(bottle, as a gift from pivnizub) Cloudy, orange colour with a foamy white medium head. Chalky, yeasty and moderately sweet wheat-malty aroma with fruity components (apricot, banana). Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Wheat-malty taste with fruity esters; slightly yeasty, wheaty finish with a balanced fruitiness and only hints of cloves. The alcohol stays in the background. Strong but still somewhat refreshing Weizenbock, well-balanced.

Bottled. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is malts and hops. Flavour is hops and malts. Quite harsh hayish aftertaste, but then again wellbalanced while drinking. Some slight fruity notes make it refreshing.
