Von Anfang an beherrscht eine süßliche Würze das Aroma, am Anfang ist es zudem leicht hopfig. Während das würzige Aroma mit der Zeit zurück geht, bildet sich im Mittelteil auch ein herber Ton, zu dem im Nachgeschmack eine leichte Bitterkeit stößt. Netter Bock für kühlere Tage. On tap at London Drinker BF 2006. Orange/copper colour with lasting cream head. Very good finish. Some toffee/hop/citrus. Not a huge aroma, bit of toffee, then orange/toffee dryness ot end.

Bottle at London Drinker BF 2006. Very dark brown, beige head. Not a huge aroma, some coffee/toffee, bit of powder. Not a lot of anything, but not that bad. Competent but not exciting

Bottle at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. Copper/golden colour with thin white head. Smokey aroma, over carbonated in mouth, not a lot of body. Bit tinny, bit like a lager. Smoke aroma is good but the rest doesn’t live up to it. Shame

Bananiger, stark karbonisierter Beginn. Brotige Alkoholnoten, rund, nun noch stärker bananig. Süffig, mit der Zeit dunkler werdend, der Alkoholstich ist nu unverkannbar und sollte besser verdeckt werden. Süß hefiges Finish. 9/10/7/8/8/8

Am Anfang schmeckt es kurz wässrig, dann leicht herb und dann halt wie flüssiger Schinken...im Nachgeschmack verstärkt sich das Aroma noch.

Re-rate from bottle: Still quite nice, but certainly a lot less hops than last time. Balanved more towards a bready, honeyish maltyness this time around. Bottle
7 5 7 3 13 Pretty dark amber, amber full creamy head. Fresh aromatic and grassy hop nose. Fruity malt baseline, light bodied with a elegant aromatic hop play and a fine bittterhop finish. Sparkly mouthfeel. Elegant pale lager, must be the best of this style I have tried to date.
